Our image style
Lived in and real
People and our products live together in the real world where life happens. A documented snap of the moment. Mess and all.
Charming and fun
Our audience responds well to warmth and a sprinkle of fun. We are open, light and have a sense of humor.
Useful interaction
The space where humans and technology interact is always the starting point. Showcase value in a real setting.
Images as design asset
Our visual identity consist of many different components, images being a big part of it. They help us express emotion, show off our brand personality and creates trust with our customers.
Using our images in the right way will make it easier for our customers to identify us and understand our messages. Making sure that it’s neatly cropped, not pixelated, nicely edited, connected to our main message and on point with our brand is the key to success.
The attention from our customers is incredibly short and valuable, let’s make everything we design count and give them the value of that time spent with us!
Cropping images
When we crop images for different formats we want to keep the composition of the images as best we can. In the below example we have cropped the image to show our person, the phone and the vacuum cleaner. In this case we want to show how easy it is to use Tibber and following the consumption in real-time through our app.

Images with content on top
Sometimes we need to focus more on the message and copy on top of the image and then we can crop the image differently, and also add a gradient to make the content pop. The crop is closer and makes the image less busy to really focus on the message.
The gradient can be either linear or radial depending on what you want to pop. From 100% to 0% in the same color, we can use the Pure Black or Soft Black. The layer fill should be set to between 40-80%, adjusted to the image and the blend mode set to Multiply.
Keep in mind that this type of gradient might be an issue in print production, so make sure to edit and export the image to make your prints awesome!
